Longbush Bird Series

The Longbush Bird series is our new premium range of wines that focus on the varieties that we believe are best suited to the Gisborne Region (Gewurztraminer, Viognier, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay). Only our best fruit is selected for these wines and consequently is reflected in the quality.

A key feature with the Bird Series is that with every bottle sold a contribution is made to the Longbush restoration trust. John’s sister Dame Anne Salmond and her husband Jeremy owns the Longbush QEII Reserve in Gisborne, and since 2000 have undertaken the task of pest fencing the reserve, removing pests and replanting native species in the reserve. Their latest projects include the releasing of native birds that had previously become extinct from this area.
